CAI-US Ancient Minecraft build school

Build like antiquity

CAI-US is a Minecraft server for learning how to design ancient, old-world, and legendary structures. From Parthenon-style temples to medieval halls, godly statues, ruined forums, and builds that look like Gaius himself personally approved the blueprint!

What we teach

Old stones, big silhouettes, better builds.

01

Ancient proportions

Learn why temples feel powerful: columns, symmetry, stepped bases, triangular roofs, layered depth, and the tiny block-by-block tricks that stop a build looking flat.

02

Gods, heroes, and Colossal energy

Build statues, shrines, tree-filled courtyards, archways, thrones, long-distance aqueducts, and grand entrances with a classical aesthetic. Greek gods, Roman senators, medieval kings, the whole dusty drama department.

03

Ruins that look intentional

Master cracked silhouettes, missing corners, overgrown stone, broken pillars, terrain blending, and weathered palettes so your ruins look ancient, not unfinished.

Not a spawn. A civilisation.

CAI-US is for players who want to stop copying block-for-block tutorials and actually understand why old builds work. We teach shape language, palette control, depth, scale, and the ancient art of making stone look expensive.

Curriculum

From dirt shack to divine monument.

LECTIO I

Temple anatomy

Break down bases, columns, capitals, roofs, friezes, stairs, courtyards, and how to scale them for Minecraft without losing the silhouette.

LECTIO II

Palette discipline

Use sandstone, calcite, quartz, stone bricks, tuff, copper, foliage, and shadow blocks without turning the build into random soup.

LECTIO III

Medieval massing

Design halls, towers, keeps, gates, roofs, bridges, and defensive walls that feel old, lived-in, and structurally believable.

LECTIO IV

Statues and myths

Create readable human forms, godly poses, huge robes, wings, weapons, crowns, and dramatic focal points from blocky geometry.

LECTIO V

Worldbuilding

Connect temples, markets, roads, plazas, farms, docks, ruins, and monuments into a world that feels like it has actual history.

LECTIO VI

Interiors and atmosphere

Fill halls, chambers, shrines, libraries, crypts, and throne rooms with lighting, furniture, banners, clutter, and depth that make the inside feel alive.

LECTIO VII

Terrain and approach

Shape cliffs, rivers, paths, gardens, ruins, bridges, and sightlines so your build feels planted in the world instead of dropped onto flat land.

LECTIO VIII

Build reviews

Bring your own creations, get practical feedback, and learn exactly what to change so your next version hits harder.

LECTIO IX

Free building

Congratulations, you've graduated from the college. Take time to explore other graduates' builds around the server, and make your own!

Come for the blocks. Stay because your starter base became a mythological government building.
